报告摘要：	In this talk, I will review some basically properties on the index of elliptic operators on compact manifolds. Then we will explain the "quantization commute with reduction" conjecture in geometric quantization, in particular, Ma-Zhang's solution on Vergne's conjecture in her ICM 2006 plenary lecture.
